10/31/19 - SIP & TSOT - A Joyful Christmas To You

Happy Halloween! My Dad left Chicago today to go back to California. At least his flight didn't get delayed much for cancel so he can head back home safely. Today's card is using 2 challenges - Try Stampin' on Tuesday & Stamp, Ink, Paper. I combined the two together to create this fun card for Christmas. I used Basic Gray and the mask I got from SU for the background and used the sketch challenge for the rest of the card. I accidentally stamp the sentiment at the wrong spot, oops! But I think the card still turned out pretty good. I hope you enjoy this card today and have a wonderful Halloween.

10/29/19 - Retro Rubber Challenge - A Little Note

Today's card is using Retro Rubber Challenge - where it's a sketch and you have to used a stamp set that's more than a year old, gotta give those older stamp set some love, you know? The one I used is Butterfly Gala and I think it was from the last spring catalog (back in Jan. 2018) I haven't used it for awhile so I pulled it out and used it with the current 2019-2021 in-colors! I just love the subtle of these combination and the paper is so gorgeous as well. I used the markers to color in the butterfly and paired it up with some Gray Granite (stamp off the ink first). I hope you like the card I am sharing today and remember to give your *older* stamp set some LOVE!

10/27/19 - Sunday Stamps & TGIF Challenges - Just Floating By to Say Hi

Happy Sunday! We just came back from a fun morning and now H is napping and I have some free time to create. Today's card is using Sunday Stamps & TGIF Challenges, one is sketch and one is using tag to create a project! I decided to combine this two and create a fun card by using the Tag as a main focus and stick with the layout. I used the current catalog stamp set - We'll Walrus be Friend and paired it up with the retired DSP - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I used the Watercolor pencils with Aqua Painter to color in the walrus. In addition, I stamped 2 of the fishes on the basic Gray card stock for a tone on tone effects. 10/24/19 - Paper Craft Crew Challenge - Happy Day

Today's card is using Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! I love this sketch and had so much fun creating and putting this card together! I decided to use With All My Love DSP for it (I love this paper!) and paired it up with Love What You Do stamp set! I used the colors combo in the DSP so the flower are Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick. The crumb cake card stock for layering is embossed and the floral piece is cut out with the Nested Stitched Framelits. I hope you like this awesome card today and check out the challenge website.

10/23/19 - Freshly Made Sketch - Sweet Friendship

Happy Hump Day - today's card is using Freshly Made Sketch. I wished I can say that I put more thoughts into this card but truly this card was finished in less than 3 min - including picking the color of the card base and what to do with  the sketch. I decided to use the flowers that I pre-cut when I got the DSP (Bird Ballard) and just layer it on top of another DSP from the same pack. I wanted to use the long sentiment so this is from Butterfly Wishes. I think I just have the right person to send this to. Hope you enjoy the quick card today!

10/22/19 - Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge - Here's To Celebrating You

Today's card is using Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I decided to use the Bird Ballard DSP and I cut out the humming bird and adhere onto a Soft Suede Circle. The rest is pretty straight forward from the sketch as I tried to keep it simple and easy for the eyes. The sentiment is from Life Is Good stamp set and I just adore the font. Hope you enjoy this card today.

10/21/19 - Global Design Project - Welcome Little One

Happy Monday - today's card is using Global Design Project - CASE the designer! I decided it make a Welcome, Little One baby card for a dear friend whom recently had a baby girl. I used the Animal Friends Dies to cut out the stamp image and use the watercolor pencils with Blender pens to color in the animals. I hope she will enjoy this card!

10/18/19 - CASE-ing Tuesday - Thank You

Today's card is using CASE-ing Tuesday on FB. The inspiration card is on the current Holiday Catalog, the Snowman card. I love this challenge always give you the dimension of the sketch so you can use theirs or just wing it yourself. I decided to use some current Annual Catalog item. The Hummingbird is cut out from the DSP the rest of the paper is from the same pack. I turned it into a Thank you card and added some sequins. Hope you enjoy the card and have a wonderful weekend.

10/17/19 - CTS#344 - Your Thoughtfulness

Today's card is using a fun challenge CAS(E) this sketch. I decided to pull out some stamp set from the current annual catalog to create. I used both of the Daisy Lane and Daisy Delight (both punches as well) for the center of the flower. To added some fall feel, I used the rock and roll technique to add pumpkin pie around the edges of the flower petals. I kept it pretty simple and hope to be able to send it to someone soon.

Happy Hump Day - Today's card is using 2 challenges, - TSOT & Paper Craft Crew Challenge. The one for fall inspiration challenge, I've decided to make a pumpkin/fall thank you card and combined it with the sketch layout. Most of the items I used are retired but I still love how this card turned out. The sentiment is using the Stampin' Up White Craft Ink and it's hard to see but I embossed the leaves I cut out with the subtle embossing folder.

10/15/19 - Sketch338 - Your Friendship means the world to me

It's getting really cold in the Chicago area, although my husband doesn't agree, but then again, he's from the Midwest and I am from California, no wonder it's already cold for me. Todays' card is using Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I had so much fun creating this card. I used the stitched framelits for the squares and used the tired twine underneath the Daffodil Delight circle. I already have someone in mind that I want to send this card to in November for Thanksgiving. I know it's not a tradition card but I am really thankful that she is my friend. 10/14/19 - TGIF Challenges - they say it's YOUR BIRTHDAY!

Happy Monday - we are back from our quick Indiana trip, which I am always happy to be home! Today's card is using TGIF Challenge. Instead of the vertical card, I decided to do a horizontal card with Dandelion Wishes stamp set. I kept the cad pretty simple but I did used the current 2018-2020 in-colors with dauber to ink up the whisper white card stock and also sentiment and the card base. I added a pearl and finished the card with a birthday sentiment. I hope you like this card I am sharing today!

10/9/19 - Color Throwdown and Sketch Saturday - So Thankful

Today's card is using 2 challenges again - Sketch Saturday and Color Throwdown. I love the fall colors they provided and wanted to give it a try and so decided to pair it up with a simple sketch. I did a really fun and simple technique called *tapping*. First I inked up the leafs images with Crushed Curry and then use the markers to tap the colors in. I think it turned out really cool. The tree trunk is using the 2nd generation of Soft Suede and the card came pretty quickly together. I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today.

Today's card is using 2 challenges - The Paper Papers & Global Design Project, one is fall them (Thank You) and one is a sketch challenge. I decided to pull out one of my favorite, Check You Out stamp set! Instead of using the animal images, I decided to keep it simple and just use the good ol' library check out list from back in the day. I fussy cut out the image and stamped a Thank You sentiment and this finish this quick and easy card! I hope you enjoy this card today!

10/3/19 - CTS# 342 - Enjoy The Little Things

Today's card is using CAS(E) This Sketch. I really like this layout and I think it's a great way to us up some of the big and small pieces of DSP. I used some the retired DSP and paired it with my new stamp set - Friend Like You. I got the bundle but been having a hard time trying to use it so today's card is using a new image that I haven't used for a masculine card. I kept the layout pretty true to the sketch. 10/2/19 - TSOT - Just Floating By To Say Hi

Happy Hump Day - Today's care is using Try Stampin' On Tuesday Sketch! I saw all the DT designs and love them all so I wanted to create my own as well. I've been trying hard to use both something NEW and RETIRED. The paper is from last year, otherwise, mostly current items. I used the markers to color in the walrus and did a tone on tone for the greeting. I think I just know someone who would love to receive this card from me.
