5/30/2020 - Fusion & Festive Friday - Life is so good

Today’s card is using 2 different challenges – Festive Friday & Fusion Card Challenge (sketch and photo).  I decided to go with the beach theme and picked Sun, Vacation Theme, Flocking & Buttons for First Day of Summer. I finally saw on a Youtube video on how to use the die cut so I finally had a chance to use this Friend Like You bundle and the coordinating dies. After I cut out the palm tree dies, I put a piece of Old Olive cardstock underneath. And then I die cut out another piece to represent the sand and some flocking dots. It’s a bit hard to see but the sun has some wink a stella on it. I really enjoy making this card and I will have to make more using this bundle!

5/29/2020 - The Card Concept - Your Thoughtfulness

Happy Friday! Today’s card is enter at The Card Concept photo challenge. It actually took awhile to create this card (and I did it while I am on a conference call, haha). First I stamped all the daisy in Crushed Curry and punch them out. Then I took a dauber with Poppy Seed Parade and edge all the petal. Then the leaves are stamped in Garden Green and the inside is with Old Olive and fussy cut them all out. I decided to place them on the edge of the Pool Party cardstock and cut out those are hanging. Added a sentiment and voila here is my card inspired by the picture. I really liked how it turned out. Have a good weekend!

5/28/2020 - Freshly Made Sketch - Happy Day

Today’s quick and easy card is using Freshly Made Sketches. I used the soon to be retired 2018-2020 In-Colors- all these colors put together and you can create an awesome rainbow card and this is exactly what I did. Then I just added a simple sentiment to finish the card. The trick I did with the stamping is that I stamped Pineapple Crush in the middle first and then work my way out on the stamping so it looks even. Remember to use any colors and stamp images you have to create this fun card!

5/27/2020 - Global Design Project - You Make Me Happy

Happy Hump Day – Today’s card is using Global Design Project – Sketch. When I see a horizontal sketch, I have to participate because most of sketch and the card I made are mostly vertical. I wanted to use up some of my soon to be retiring items so the paper is from the current Occasion Catalog and the piggy will be heading out in the beginning of June. The coloring is done with Stampin’ Marker and Stampin’ Blends. Since the sentiment is already in the stamp set I didn’t add another one and just leave it the way it is. Hope you like this cute card today!

5/25/2020 - Sunday Stamps & The Paper Players - For You

Happy Memorial Day – I took a PTO day so I can truly enjoy the holiday. (yes, we don’t get this holiday off) Today’s card is using 2 challenges – The Paper Players (sketch) & Sunday Stamps (Color). This card took a while to put together because I have to stamp lots of the flowers first (in different colors, of course) and then you gotta die cut them out. Then you have to piece them together to see what works and what looks best. I really like how it turned out and sadly it will be retiring at the end of May. I might, just might, keep this stamp set bundle for my own collection. I hope you enjoy the card!

5/25/2020 - Make My Monday #123 For A Baby - Thank You

Welcome back to another Make My Monday! Today's card is featuring *Baby* and I made a Baby Thank You card that you can send from all the wonderful gifts you've received for your baby! This card is so easy to put together because I used the coordinating DSP and the die to cut out all the cute animals. Then I arranged them onto a circle die and a sentiment. The background was a little bare so I took a Whisper White cardstock and embossed it with the brick embossing folder. 5/23/2020 - CAS(E) this Sketch - From ALL of Me

The weather was totally gorgeous this morning and now at 3pm, it’s getting foggy and dark, I think we have a storm coming! Today's card is using CAS(E) This Sketch. I decided to use up some of the retired paper and going to be retired stamp set. The walrus is color in with Watercolor Pencils with Blender Pen and I paired it up with the Twinkle Twinkle DSP from last year. Since the DSP is already stripy, I used the vellum for the banner instead. I hope you like this quick and easy card I’ve created! Enjoy the long weekend!

5/22/2020 - Freshly Made Sketches - Happy Birthday

Happy Friday! I am excited about the weekend. Our company open on Monday but I’ve requested off to make it a long weekend! Today’s card is using Freshly Made Sketch. I love the simplicity of the sketch so I wanted to make sure I keep it that way and make an elegant birthday card. I used the *negative* die cut for the Eiffel Tower and the coordinating DSP. The foil sheet I believe it’s from last year’s SAB! I hope you enjoy this card and craft on!

5/21/2020 - Fusion - They Say It's Your Birthday

Today I am sharing a quick card using Fusion Card Challenge – You Are Enough with Photo. I decided to play with some old technique. This is where you color in / ink up the blocks and spray it with water to give it a little watercolor effects. The stamp image is using Stazon Ink and I made it into a birthday card. I wished the water would spread a little more so I will have to do less ink and more water next time. Enjoy your Thursday!

5/20/2020 - Try Stampin' On Tuesday & CASology - Happy Birthday

Happy Hump Day – Ahh… after 2 days of yucky weather and rain, we finally have an awesome and gorgeous day! It’s really nice to step outside and enjoy the sunshine on your skins! Today’s card is using Try Stampin’ on Tuesday (Sketch) and CASology (plant). I don’t have a lot of plant stamp set except for the one that’s retiring and the images are awesome and can be made into Thanksgiving Card as well as Christmas Cards. For this card, I made it into a simple birthday card just using normal colors. The layout is really classy and I like the simplicity of it. 5/19/2020 - Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #245 - Happy Birthday

Welcome back to another challenge here at Card 4 Guyz! Today is a sketch challenge and I am so excited to share this card with everyone! I die cut out all the elements that's related to golf as well as some other pieces that came with the dies. I colored in the golf club using Stampin' Blends and the small red flag that's on the right corner is cut out from the DSP. It may be hard to see as well but the 3 golf balls in the middle are also embossed! I added a Happy Birthday sentiment to finish of this card, I can't wait to send this one out to someone special! 5/16/2020 - Fab Friday & TGIF Challenge - Hello

Wow, I made another card today and wanted to blog about it. This one is using Fab Friday (Sketch) and TGIF Challenge (watercolor). When I think of using the technique - watercoloring, I always wanted to pull out this stamp set because I think it's perfect to do watercoloring with. I make sure the colors are very light and soft that you can still see the clear embossed detail. The image is stamped with Versamark and pour the clear embossing powder over it and heat embossed. Then I used aqua painter with watercolor pencils. Even the DSP underneath the bow has a little watercolor feels. Hope you enjoy this card today!

5/16/2020 - CAS(E) this Sketch & Festive Friday - Thank You

Happy Saturday - this morning we took Hunter to a big park / grassy area so he can run around and waste some energy. Today's card is using CAS(E) this Sketch & Festive Friday (Water / Beach / Aqua). Since the theme have to be beach, I used the current Stampin' Up set called The Waterfront to create this thank you card. The stamp set is very versatile and you can create lots of scenes if you like. This one reminds of Hawaii for sure, it's time to plan a trip there again. 5/14/2020 - CAS Colours & Sketches - Hogs & Kisses

Raining day here in the Chicagoland area. Today’s card is using CAS Colours & Sketches. I am surprised how Petal Pink matched pretty well with Basic Gray, it was an accident made in Heaven. I knew I wanted to use the Parisian DSP so then I want my image to be Petal Pink, hence picking the piggy image. Then I color in the dirt’s in Basic Gray then I thought the layering circle dies should be gray as well and that’s how I came up with the color scheme. I really enjoyed making this card so I hope you will like it too. Have a good day!

5/13/2020 - Tuesday Morning Sketches - Thank You

Happy Hump Day – Today’s card is using Tuesday Morning Sketch! I need to send out a pack of DSP as a thank you gift and decided to make a card to go along with the DSP I am using. The hummingbird is from the DSP so all I did is cut out the bird and adhere onto a 2 ½” Circle Punch of Mint Macaroon. The DSP piece is also adhere onto another layer of Whisper White. The sentiment of Thank You is from the same suite. I hope you enjoy this quick and easy card today!

5/12/2020 - Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge - Just Checking On You

It’s been a few days since I made a card – it always feel good to be able to sit in my craft room for a little bit. Today’s card is using Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. 5/11/2020 - Make My Monday #122 Tone on Tone Background - Greatest Guy

Welcome back to another Make My Monday Challenge! This week we are doing tone on tone background and I knew I need to use the big background stamp set I got from OnStage last year! I don't have a big clear block so instead of mounting it, I inked up the image and then put the card stock on it and on top of it put a copy paper and press it down so the ink would stick and I really like how it turned out. I also die cut out the golf tee, golf ball and grass with the die but and added the greatest guy sentiment. 5/10/2020 - CAS(E) this Sketch - You're The Best

Happy Mother's Day - Today I've created a card using CAS(E) this Sketch for a masculine card, which I think will be used for my Father In Law for June Father's Day. Since I don't have any star dies, I used the oval shape instead and stamped the image in Stazon Ink and colored it in with SU Watercolor Pencils with Blender Pen. The card turned out to be very quick and easy to make which is always a big plus in my book. Have a good one and enjoy the rest of your day!

Today’s card is enter with Tuesday Morning Sketch! This is definitely a unique sketch that I wasn’t sure how to create in the beginning and then later decided to just go with the sketch. I went with the Bird Ballard DSP and cut out the bird and 2 cute flowers and adhere on the 2 circle edges that I did. I have a birthday coming up so I used a Happy Day sentiment and make it into a birthday card that I will be sending out later this week.
