9/29/2020 - The Spot Challenge - Season of Thanks

Today’s card is using The Spot Challenge. I am on a roll at making Fall Theme cards so I will have bunch of them ready to go after Halloween. I knew I wanted to use one of my to go stamp set for this fall, Gather Together. I die cut out the leaves and sponge the edges as well as the inside with Crushed Curry. To make the layering more fun, I decided to make it into kind of like a tag with a ribbon. I really like how this card turned out. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!

9/28/2020 - Global Design Team - May This Season

September is just about to end and we will be officially into fall. Today’s card is using Global Design Team Project – CASE the Designer and this is what I came up with. The maple leave is stamped with Stazon Ink and then color in with SU Watercolor Pencils and smooth out the line with Blender Pens. I also used the new ribbon from the current Holiday Catalog. I hope you enjoy this quick and easy card I am sharing today!

9/28/2020 - Make My Monday #132 Use Up Your Scraps - Being A Good Dad.....

Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Make My Monday and this week we are making cards to Use Up Your Scraps!! I decided to use up some of my Country Club DSP from Occasion Catalog. I have so many strips of designer paper and decided to make it into a ZigZag card? (not sure what the name might be for this design!) I just started putting down the strip of DSP and alternate the pattern and the way the direction went.  Added a sentiment and punch it out and adhere it on the card with dimension and the card is done! If you have any scraps on hand, give this pattern card a try!

9/25/2020 - TGIF Challenge & CAS(E) this Sketch - Thanks

Happy Friday! Yesterday J and I both took a day off and we drove a hour to The Morton Arboretum for a nice family day. We had a great time and hopefully will go to another fun place next month. The card today is using 2 challenges – TGIF Challenge (Ink Blending) & CAS(E) this Sketch. Since fall is coming and I wanted to make more Thank You card therefore I pulled out the DSP that has some fall colors in it. I stamped the pumpkins first and then use the sponge dauber with Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider and Pumpkin Pie to blend in the colors. To finish off I even color the pumpkin a little bit with Rich Razzleberry and Bumblebee Markers. The Thanks is masked off the rest from the Give Thanks sentiment. Hope you enjoy this fall card and have a wonderful weekend!

9/23/2020 - Fab Friday - Coming Home Bundle

Happy Hump Day! I took a PTO this morning and took H to the Chicago Botanic Garden to look at this Model Train Railroad. Today’s card is using Fab Friday Challenge. The sketch is quite simple but you can create many different kind of cards with it. I decided to use the Coming Home Bundle from Stampin’ Up and create a Christmas card. Although it doesn’t have a sentiment, you can also use it as a welcome home card as well. The house is die cut out from the designer series paper and the card truly came together in less than 5 minutes. This is an awesome bundle to get and % of the sales will go to a great cause!

9/17/2020 - Freshly Made Sketch - Give Thanks

It’s been awhile, or at least I feel like, since I created a new post using a challenge, it has been very busy at work. Today’s card is using Freshly Made Sketch and I pulled out Build a Wreath bundle. I really adore this stamp set and dies but it’s just takes a little while to get the right color combo, decided what pieces you want to use and die cut them out but this is what I came up with, a fall theme wreath. I like the wood crate image they have and have seen some awesome samples how to use it. I really enjoy making this card and hopefully it won’t be another months for me to use this again. Thank you for stopping by!

9/14/2020 - TGIF Challenge - Season of Thanks

Today’s card is using TGIF Sketch Challenge – thank you for the DT Team Melissa for giving us the dimension for each of the DSP so I can cut it out properly. One of the piece was a little shorter so I used the ribbon to cover it up. I decided to go with more of the fall theme card. The leaves is stamped with Bumblebee and I used the fun old technique called Rock and Roll to edge up the leaves with Cinnamon Cider. I really like how this card turn out and I hope you do too. Thanks to the DT team for the wonderful inspiration.
