5/31/2022 - Sunday Stamps/Global Design Project - Plentiful Plants

It’s always hard to come back from a long weekend, although I had to work yesterday. Today’s card is using Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge and Global Design Project Color Challenge. The succulent is inked up in Petal Pink and I used the Tapping Challenge with Sweet Sorbet markers to add some ink on it. All the items I used are listed below, thanks for visiting my blog today!

5/31/2022 - Cardz 4 Guyz #297 On the Water - You're my Anchor

Welcome back to another challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are making On The Water card and since I don’t own any boats images I decided to use an Anchor as my stamped image and colored in with Watercolor Pencil with Aqua Painter to smooth out the line. I used some of the retired DSP for the background and they are ¾” x 3 and 1” x 3. I hope you enjoyed the card I am sharing today and be sure to join us at the challenge.

5/29/2022 - Addicted To CAS: Stripes - A Little Note

Happy Sunday! Today’s card is using Addicted to CAS – Stripes. There’s a technique called Floating Strips that I’ve wanting to try and I think this is a perfect challenge for it. There are several videos that you can find on YouTube but this is the ONE I used. Basically you cut out a window sheet with a desire shapes and glue on different colors/width of cardstocks or DSP on and then put dimensions on the back. I decided to go with the In-Colors DSP. I added a silhouette from a die cut and added a sentiment. I also put a Whisper White layer. I hope you enjoyed this card I am sharing today.

5/28/2022 - Paper Craft Crew Challenge / Tic Tac Toe #472 - Love & Big Hugs

Happy Saturday! Today’s card is using Paper Craft Crew Challenge with Tic Tac Toe and I am using Frame/Flowers/Markers and Die Cuts/Bling/Flowers. I finally had a chance to ink up Sending Smiles bundle and this is what I use to create this card. The card is using most of the 2022-2024 In-Colors and I finished the card with some *bling* - Metallic Pearls. I hope you enjoyed this card I am sharing today!

5/23/2022 - Make My Monday #175 Fruits or Vegetable - Pear Best Wishes

Welcome back to another challenge here at Make My Monday and this week we are making Fruit/Veggie card and this is what I came up with. Sadly I don’t have any witty fruit/veggie stamp set but somehow I found a small image of pear in Build a Wreath (retired) and decided to use it. I stamped the crate on brown cardstock with Soft Suede and the pears are die cut out with the dies. It may be hard to see but I used Crystal Effects on the pear in the middle. Today’s card is using Hand Stamped Sentiment Sketch and The Card Concept Inspiration. I used the color combination and the picture as my starting point to create the image. For some reason my Crushed Curry ink pad is giving me issues, errrr. But other than that, I kept the card pretty simple. You can see my color combinations listed below. Thank you for stopping by!

5/18/2022 - Make the Card Challenge #55 Technique Challenge - It's Your Day!

Welcome back to another challenge here at Make the Cards Challenge and this week we are using Pattern Paper – DSP (designer series paper in Stampin’ Up terms). I know I sound like a broken record but I love SU’s DSP because they coordinate so well with the ink pads and I can just look at the paper to see what other colors I can used to match. In this case, I used the Heart Dollie and the Real Red as my card base. I added a ribbon and stamped It’s Your Day as a sentiment. Today’s card is submitted at The Paper Player Challenge for House. I used the retired Coming Home from the retired Holiday Catalog 2 years ago. 5/17/2022 - Cardz 4 Guyz #296 Wildlife - Happy Birthday with Penguin playmate DSP

Welcome back to another challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are making card with Wildlife animals. Sadly I don’t have any animals stamp set so I have to be creative with this challenge and I remember I have some DSP which has a Polar Bear image which is perfect for this challenge. I cut out the polar image from the DSP and adhere onto another piece of DSP and layer on top of the scalloped circle. As you can see, all the pattern paper are coordinated. 5/16/2022 - Bottled Happiness

Happy Monday! My orders from the new 2022-2023 annual catalog came Friday and I had some time to play with it for a little bit. I saw a similar card in the catalog and decided to CASE it for using this bundle. I rolled the Kraft paper into a message and put them in the bottle. I love the sentiment, it just goes so perfectly with the card! Hope you enjoy this card!

5/11/2022 - Global Design Project #342 / Retro Rubber Challenge #182 - The Best Moments

Happy Hump Day! It’s a warm day here in the Chicagoland area. Today’s card is using Global Design Project Sketch and Retro Rubber Challenge Flower Power. Instead of the stamp image, I used the dies from last year’s Sale-A-Bration and the awesome greeting is from Daisy Lane, which already retired since it’s been around for 2 years already. The DSP is Peony Garden also retired a few years ago so you can say that this is a RETIRED card, haha. I hope you enjoyed this card I am sharing today and enjoy the nice summer weather!

Welcome back to another challenge here at Make My Monday and this week we are making Springtime card. I pulled out Shaded Summer, which will be carry-over to the new catalog for this card. I decided to make it a monochromatic and used Pale Papaya as the color base. To finish the card I added some sequins and make it really pop! Today’s card is using a very simple and elegant sketch from Freshly Made Sketch. I am trying to use more of my soon to be retired items from the 2022 Mini Catalog. I kept the card simple and just with the pot and the flowers with a packet seeds. I also did some background sponging with a mask and finished the card with a sentiment and some sequins. 5/3/2022 - Cardz 4 Guyz #295 D is for - Card for Dad

Welcome back to another challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are doing D is for……. Dad! I know Father’s Day is not until June but we can always use some inspiration for the card or just some masculine card. I used the retired A Few Good Men and colored in the image with Stampin’ Markers. The sentiment is actually stamped in a punch paper but I made it into a tag but poking a hole on the top with twine!
