4/30/2020 - The Spot & Hand Stamped Sentiments - Best Mother Ever

Gloomy and raining greeting from the Chicagoland. Today's card is using The Spot Challenge & Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge. For the sketch, I wanted to use Delightful Daisy stamp set so I inked it up with Memento Black and then color it in with my Stampin' Blends. I am definitely trying to practice more using Stampin' Blends and I think I am getting a little hang of it each time I used it. The leafs are cut out with the scissor and I added the ribbon and a sentiment for Best Mother Ever! I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today.

4/28/2020 - Global Design Project - Just Floating By

Happy Tuesday! Today's card is using Global Design Team project sketch challenge. When I saw this sketch, right away I knew I want to use going to retire In-Colors 2018-2020 and create a rainbow background. All the pieces are cut down to 1" by 4" and then I adhere it onto a scrap piece of paper so i can line it up correctly and then trim down the extra. I color in the Walrus and then I masked off the whole sentiment and only stamped Just Floating By...and the rest is inside of the card. 4/27/2020 - Just Us Girls & The Paper Players - Just Because

Another week is here, looks like IL will extend the Shelter In Place until end of May with more store opening. Today's card is using The Paper Players (sketch) & Just Us Girls Challenge (photo). I used the soon to be retire stamp set to create this daisy card. I also incorporated a few soon to be retire In-Colors and paper. The grassy roots on the bottom used 2 different colors of green with one using 2nd stamp generation technique, where you stamp the full ink color once and then use then stamp it again for the lighter color. 4/25/2020 - Fusion Card Challenge - Let's Celebrate You

Happy Saturday - Today's card is using Fusion Card Challenge (sketch and photo) and create this Birthday card. I used the soon to retire stamp set and used Poppy Parade to color in the flower since I don't have Real Read markers. I added a simple sentiment and cut out a banner and layer the flower image on top of a stitched circle die. This is definitely a CAS card. Happy Friday! Today's card is using CAS(E) this Sketch, simple and clean card. This past Wednesday SU release the retiring list and for the next few weeks I will be focusing on some of the retiring product. I used the going to retire in-colors to create this masculine birthday card with a Birthday sentiment from Label Me Bold. I hope you enjoy this quick card today!

4/23/2020 - Atlantic Hearts Sketch - Awesome at Any Age

I am so uncomfortable today, I somehow threw my back/neck, I bet I slept wrong. Stampin' Up release the retired list yesterday so if you want to see what's retiring and what's discounted. Click HERE. In the future, I will be using lots of stamp sets that will be retiring, until end of May. 

Today's card is using Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I always love a sketch that can used up lots of DSP and this is just the card! I cut the DSP down to 1 1/4" x 4" and adhere them onto a Whisper White cardstock and added a fun sentiment Awesome at Any Age for Birthday Occasion. I think the Pool Party Stitched Circle really makes the card and the sentiment pop. Hope you enjoy this card today!

4/22/2020 - Freshly Made Sketch & Color Throwdown - a little note

Happy Hump Day - today's card is using 2 challenges - Color Throwndown and Freshly Made Sketches. The colors to me I think are Pineapple Crush, Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover and Crumb Cake so that's what I used since the in-colors from 2018-2020 is going to retire soon! For the horizontal images, I used the markers to color in the stamp image and the butterflies are stamped in Memento Black and then color in. For the circle image, I tried to have my butterfly flies in the direction of the circle but it's a bit hard to do. I hope you like this card I am sharing today! Stay safe my friends!

4/21/2020 - Cardz 4 Guyz #243 - Greatest Guy

Welcome back to another week for Cardz 4 Guyz! Today's card is using dies as the main focus and right away I knew I wanted to use Club House Suite for this wonderful card. I colored in the golfer using most of the colors in the DSP and cut it out using the coordinating dies, there's even a banner die to cut out the sentiment. To make sure the golfer stood out, I put him on an oval shape die cut and added some stripes of DSP. This card can easily be sent as a Birthday card or Father's day card in June. 4/19/2020 - CASE-ing Tuesday - Cheers To You

Happy Sunday! Today's card is using CASE-ing Tuesday on Facebook - CASEing pg 34 in the Mini Catalog. Instead of a horizontal card, I decided to do a vertical card because I want to use the Eiffel Tower image. I love how the dimension is provided so I know what's the size of the strip. I did put another layer of Basic Black underneath the 3 strips to make it pop a little more. Rather than using the die cut words with the die set, I decided to just put a birthday theme sentiment. 4/18/2020 - CAS(E) this Sketch - I Will Walrus Be Your Friend

Wooh Wooh - the weather is gorgoues here and there are lots of people outside walking and enjoying the sun. Today's card is using CAS(E) this Sketch! For the little square images, I decided to stamp the cute walrus images from We'll Walrus Be Friend. I colored the walrus with Color Pencils along with the Blender Pens to smooth out the line. Lately I've been enjoying coloring a lot and I really need to practice some more. I added a very cute sentiment and it's a great card to send during this COVID-19 period. 4/17/2020 - Freshly Made Sketch - Hello

TGIFRIDAY!!! I am so glad it's the weekend, because it means that I don't want to deal with work! Today's card is using Freshly Made Sketch. When I saw the big piece panel, I knew I want to use this big image I have. I also been wanting to try some watercoloring technique and so this is what I came up with. I stamped the image in Versamark with clear embossing powder. Then the coloring is with Watercolor Pencil with Aqua Painter, instead of coloring it in, I used the Aqua Painter to pick up the ink from the pencil and then color it in, hence a very strong watercolor feels. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!

4/16/2020 - Double D & CAS Sketches - No Matter The Weather

Happy Thursday - a gorgeous day here in the Midwest with high 40's, but I just heard on NPR that it will rain later tonight and also winter advisory until 10am tomorrow! That's just so crazy, I can't wait for my spring to come. Today's card is using 2 challenges - Double D for Showers / Flowers, and CAS Sketches. When I saw the DD challenge, I knew right away I want to use Under My Umbrella stamp set and the beautiful Bird Ballard DSP for the floral image. The coloring on the rain boots and umbrella is done by SU Markers' and Stampin' Blends. I am actually really surprised how well the umbrella came out with the shades - I LOVE IT. I added a very cute sentiment and finished off my card. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the day, wherever you may be!

4/14/20 - Hand Stamped Sentiments - It's Sure To Be A Fun Day

Happy Tuesday - today's card is using the Hand Stamped Sentiments - Inspiration Challenge. The picture represent birthday and so I made a birthday shaker's card. I put a gift design paper underneath the shaker's part and put some sequins in it. Instead of the leaving the circle outside blank, I put a gold foil circle outside to give it a little pop. I hope you enjoy this fun birthday card.
