9/3/25 - The Male Room #202 Background - Tractor & Co Bundle Thank You

Today at The Male Room we are creating Background for our card. I decided to create a fall card using the Tractor & Co bundle. I created a background with a hill using cardstock, then I stamped bunch of hays and then corn images to create a field of corns. To finish I added a trailer with hays in it. 8/6/25 - The Male Room #201 Universe - Sunshine Vibes

It’s our monthly challenge here at The Male Room and this month we are making Universe card. I have to be creative with this challenge and I came up with Rainbow & Sun on my card, since they are part of the universe, right?! I used the negative of the die to create a rainbow and placed a piece of DSP underneth. I stamped the sun at the corner and finished the card with a sentiment on the die cut piece. Welcome back to our Monthly challenge at The Male Room and this month we are making Dogs/Cats card and this is what I came up with. I used the Pattern of Friendship dies for a subtle background and I used the retired Border Dies with Timeless Plaid DSP. The doggie is reversable stamp that I did 2 different colors on. 6/4/25 - The Male Room #199 Fun Folds - Square Pillar Card

Happy Summer and welcome back to our monthly challenge here at The Male Room and this month we are making fun fold card! I saw this tutorial for Square Pillar card and decided to give it a try. I used the retired Stampin’ Up Latte Love for this card and it turns out so so cute! The dies cut out so many pieces to create a coffee pot and espresso cups so I put all these on my card. I also used the coordinating DSP and the new Arch Dies. Hope you enjoyed this fun fold and will give it a try and join us at the challenge.

5/7/25 - The Male Room #198 Under the Sea - Ocean Friends Bundle with Timeless Plaid

Hi everyone – welcome back to another monthly challenge here at The Male Room and the monthly theme is Under the Sea and Surprise – I used Ocean Friend bundle as well as a unique fold I found for this wonderful creation! (Click Here for the video and measurement below) I went with the non-traditional colors (or from the corresponding DSP) for this card. Crab with stamped with Lost Lagoon inside and Misty Moonlight for the outline. I also used Timeless Plaid for the layering. I really enjoyed making this card and love the result. ** This is such a great way to use up your DSP and paired it with a sheet of cardbase!
Cardbase – 4 ¼” x 5 ½” (quarter of the cardstock)
DSP fold – 6 x 5 ¼” and score at 4”. If your paper as a directional pattern, make sure the scoring is correct 

Folding – 4 ¼” x 5 ½” score at 2 ¾” (quarter of the cardstock – or half of the card base!)

4/2/25 - The Male Room #197 Geometric - Planet Paradise with Linked Together Decorative Mask

Happy Month of April and welcome back to our monthly challenge at The Male Room and this month we are making Geometric Card! I decided to create a background using a mask to create a background that fits the challenge. I used both Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie for a subtle background to create a triangle background. I used the Planet Pardise stamp set for the focal point with blue leaves. To finish the card I added some sequins. Hi everyone – welcome back to another monthly challenge here at The Male Room and this month we are making Monochromatic card. I decided to use one of the new 2024-2026 in-color – Summer Splash for this card. As you can see I used 3 different pattern on this card and they all compliment each others. 1/1/25 - The Male Room #194 Clean & Simple - Happy Birthday with Pets & More

Happy New Year and welcome back to the first The Male Room Challenge and we are kicking it off with CAS – Clean and Simpe card! What’s considered Clean & Simple? Well, usually it means one focal image with lots of white space but everyone’s definition is different. I came up with this card after seeing an example on Pinterest. I put a layer of vellum underneath the empty circle and put a cute cat and his food, fishes next to it. Who says that guys can’t like cats and receive a cute animal card! 12/4/24 - The Male Room #193 Everything Goes - Reindeer Fun Christmas Card

Last monthly challenge here at The Male Room and it’s free for all – everything goes! I created this post back in October when I bought the Reindeer Fun Dies since I knew I was going to be out of town for 2 weeks and needed to have my blog post ready! As you can see, this card used ALL dies and no stamping images. I only bought the dies for this purpose! I created a background using Christmas theme related prints and die cut out the reindeer image along with a cute bell. I really like this die and I can see myself creating more with it. 11/6/2024 - The Male Room #192 Kinetic Card - Hearts & Hugs Wobble

Happy Hump Day and welcome back to The Male Room challenge since it’s the first Wendesday of the month! This month we are making fun Kinetic card (movement card) and I created a wobble card using the wobble thingy I purchased from Amazon. I used the DSP that has a Copper Clay heart pattern and then punch out a big circle where the wobble mouse would be. The mouse is colored in with Stampin’ Blends and the sentiment is also used Copper Clay. I wanted to make sure the circle is not blended in so I used the same cardstock to create a border. 10/2/2024 - The Male Room #191 Trees - Frosted Forest Mask

Happy Wednesday and welcome back to another monthly challenge here at The Male Room and this month we are making card with Trees and this is what I came up with! No stamp image were used for the tree but instead, I just used the mask with Blending Brush and ink pads to create this awesome tree image! I finished it with a sentiment and some dots. 9/4/24 - The Male Room #190 Fun Folds - Latte Love

Happy Hump Day and welcome back to another monthly challenge here at The Male Room and we are making Fun Fold Cards! I saw a diagonal fold from Meg Loven and decided to give it a try. You will have to score a full sheet of cardstock in half on both end (which is 4 ¼” and 5 ½”) and then cut from end to end to create this. For some reason I couldn’t get my cardstock to fit in my trimmer so I used an exacto knife for this. The DSP is 4” x 5 ¼” and then cut in half and then you can decorate as you prefer. I used the Latte Love bundle for this. The coffee mug is stamp, colored and die cut out. The French press is just with cardstock. Hope you enjoyed this card and be sure to join us at the challenge.

6/5/24 - The Male Room #187 Twine/Ribbon - Cheers to All Your Years

Welcome back to another monthly challenge here at The Male Room and this month we are making cards with Twine/Ribbon. I think it’s always a bit harder to use ribbon/twine on a masculine card but I think as a background accents always work. I used it to tug behind a main focal point. This card as you can see doesn’t used any stamp, the piece was from a DSP die cut. The DSP piece is 3” x 1 ¼” (or you can do 3” x 1 ½”) and the White piece is 3 ¼” x 4 ½” (or 3 ¼” x 5”) this is a great way to show case your Designer Series Paper! 5/1/2024 - The Male Room #186 Auto/Plane/Train - Submarine Life for Happy Birthday

Happy first day of May and it’s time for another monthly challenge here at The Male Room and this time we are making Airplane/Auto/Train card and this is what I come up with. Wait, Blimp is a type of plane, right?! I used the Submarine Life bundle for this and it works for both submarine and blimp, how cool is that! Just make sure that the propeller is added on in the front and not the backend and the flag is needed for it. 4/3/2024 - The Male Room #185 Embossing - Brewed for You

Happy April and welcome back to another month here with us at The Male Room and this month we are making Embossing card! There are different type of *embossing* and I decided to use the embossing folder with ink to create this background piece. I used Basic Gray ink pad and ink up the embossing folder and ran it through the machine. Then my main focal point is the beer mug that was die cut out. 3/6/2024 - The Male Room #184 Food/Drinks - Share a Milkshake

Welcome to March and our monthly challenge here at The Male Room and we are making Food/Drinks card. I am not sure if my wonderful milkshake is considered a food, but I think it is, right?! It’s still pretty chilly here in the Chicagoland area and the California girl in me already can’t wait for spring to come so I am made a yummy milkshake card for this challenge. I love the 2 step stamping for the glass, which I used Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie for it. I stamped 3 ice-cream with different colors, they might not represent actual flavors but I though they looked great together! Happy February and this month at The Male Room we are making Valentine’s/Heart card! I found this Country Bouquet DSP from last year’s mini catalog and decided to use it, along with the dual heart punch that I kept. Most of the colors I used is from the paper – Mint Macaroon and Balmy Blue along with White, of course. To finish the card, I added some solid gems and a for you sentiment. Happy 2024 and welcome back to our first challenge of the year at The Male Room and this month we are making card with Funny/Pun sentiments! Last year Stampin’ Up came out with a few stamp sets like this and the one I bought is called Taco Fiesta and it’s perfect for the challenge. I colored in the images with Stampin’ Markers and of course added a fun/pun sentiment. This set is so adorable that you can even stamp cute faces with the images. 12/6/2023 - The Male Room #181 Christmas - Merry Christmas with More Wishes

Happy Hump Day and this is our last challenge of 2023! I can’t believe that this year is almost over and of course we have to end the year with a Christmas theme, right?! In my opinion, Poinsettia is just a must on a Christmas card and what I did is cut the DSP down to 4 x 5 ¼” and then another cut at 2” so I have 2 different panels, then I just flipped one over to showcase both sides of it. I used Tear and Tapes in between those 2 pieces and added some Gilead Leafing on it, because Gold is Christmas as well. Hope you enjoyed this card and be sure to join us at the challenge!
