5/6/2020 - The Paper Funday Challenge #17 - Beautiful Flowers For Mum

Welcome back to The Paper Funday Challenge - this month we are using images from All Dressed Up and this is the image I picked. I used the awesome Beautiful Pot for Mother's Day Card. I used Stampin' Up Watercolor Pencils along with the Blender Pens to smooth out the harsh line I have when I colored. I also make sure that the watering can have some shaded area and a little of watercolor feels. To finish off the card, I did a tone on on tone on the cardstock to add a little interest. I really like the color combination and the image is just wonderful. Remember to check out everyone's creation and join us at the challenge!

5/5/2020 - Cardz 4 Guyz (#244 - Vintage) - To A Classic

Welcome back for another week of Cardz 4 Guyz - where we share inspiration of cards for the special *guys* in our lives. Today's theme is Vintage and I used the retired Guys Greeting stamp set for this card. The card is also inspired by my fellow DT member - Mary Ellen. I saw the card she made for this challenge and remember that I have the almost same greeting and image to use! The paper is from the current Occasion Catalog and plaid is just perfect for this simple card to give out for an elder man. 5/4/2020 - CASE-ing Tuesday - May Your Day Bloom

Happy Monday - today's card is using CASE-ing Tuesday on FB and we are CASEing pg. 44 current Mini Catalog. I wanted to kind of switch it up and use something retired from the Winter/Holiday catalog and I decided to go with Beauty and Joy stamp set! I am still not sure if I am going to keep this stamp set just yet. I stamped the image in 3 colors from the DSP and then put layering both circle pieces on Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake. It looks a little boring so I decided to add some Silver Edge Ribbon to finish the card. Thank you for stopping by today!

5/3/2020 - Sunday Stamps - I Hope The Next Year.....

Happy Sunday - today's card is using Sunday Stamps Challenge for sketch. The layout is quite simple but you can definitely used up a lot of the DSP that you have on hand. I cut the DSP down to 5 x 3 3/4" and layer it on top of the whisper white. Since the DSP is going on top of the white, I cut out the stitched circle die first and then layer the DSP on top so it covered up the blank circle I cut up. This is a great way to show case your DSP for sure. This card will be great one for a golfer! Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

5/2/2020 - Fusion Card Challenge - Thank You

I am so glad the weekend is here, this morning was gorgeous so we went out for a nice walk. Afternoon is looking a little gloomy. Today's card is using Fusion Card Challenge with a photo inspiration. I used the 2 1/2" circle punch and punch out a piece of DSP with the birds in it and layer it on top of the stitched circle dies. To make it pop, I also added the silver edge ribbon underneath and a Thank You sentiment. I hope you enjoy this quick and easy card today.

5/1/2020 - Just Add Ink & CAS Colours & Sketches - Birthday

Happy Friday - now a day I so look forward to the weekend, work haven't been good lately. Today's card is using 2 challenges - Just Add Ink & CAS Colours & Sketches. I decided to pick 2 elements from the list, Stencils & Pattern Paper and paired it with the sketch. I used the retired SU heart mask with sponge to create a heart background and I used the From My Heart DSP and the coordinating doily to create this lovely birthday card. I cut out the heart inside the doily so it's hallow and added a really snarky sentiment.

4/30/2020 - The Spot & Hand Stamped Sentiments - Best Mother Ever

Gloomy and raining greeting from the Chicagoland. Today's card is using The Spot Challenge & Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge. For the sketch, I wanted to use Delightful Daisy stamp set so I inked it up with Memento Black and then color it in with my Stampin' Blends. I am definitely trying to practice more using Stampin' Blends and I think I am getting a little hang of it each time I used it. The leafs are cut out with the scissor and I added the ribbon and a sentiment for Best Mother Ever! I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today.
