7/30/2020 - Hand Stamped Sentiments - Thank You

Today’s card is using Hand Stamped Sentiment sketch challenge. After I saw all the wonderful creation by the DT teams and participants, I came up with this card. For the horizontal separation, I decided to use the ribbon for it. The circle image I ended up using the floral image from Flowering Blooms and color it in with Watercolor Pencils with Aqua Painter. I really like how the coloring turns out for in depth of the shades. I know we have Stampin’ Blends for colorings but I always have a soft spot for the Watercolor Pencils. Hope you like this card I am sharing today!

7/28/2020 - Try Stampin' On Tuesday - Coming Home

Happy Hump Day – Today’s card is using Try Stampin’ Tuesday sketch challenge with a optional of create a scene. I decided to use the Coming Home bundle for this home sweet home card that didn’t have a sentiment so could be use as a Christmas/Holiday card as well. I layer a small house on top of the big house and color in with Stampin’ Blends and SU markers. I found some of my Champagne Foil sheet and used it along with a Peony Garden DSP. I really like how this card turned out and can’t wait to find a recipient for it.

Happy Monday – I am excited for this week because tomorrow we are taking H. to the Brookfield Zoo! Today’s card is using Global Design Project Theme (Aquatic) & The Paper Players Sketch Challenge. I finally mounted few images for Seaside Notion to create this card since the theme is Aquatic. I stamped the images with Versamark first and then used clear embossing powder with it. Then I colored it with Sponge and ink pads. I couldn’t decided what colors I want the sentiment to be in so I used White Craft ink with Basic Black cardstock. 7/26/2020 - TGIF Challenges - A Cup of Thanks

Hi everyone – today is HOT here in the Chicagoland area, about 90 degrees and humidity, yikes! Today’s card is using TGIF Challenge – use your scraps. I used the ideas I got from Lisa’s Stamp Studio for this challenge. The coffee mug is from the new Holiday Catalog – Press On and I cut it out and used the piecing technique on the coffee mug by using the DSP. I decided to leave the sentiment from the outside and stamped it inside the card. This card is pretty easy to create and defintly a great way to use up your scraps. I hope you enjoy the card I am sharing today!!

7/23/2020 - The Card Concept & Freshly Made Sketch - Very Merry

Happy Thursday – today’s challenge is using The Card Concept and Freshly Made Sketch. When I saw the inspiration photo, it reminds me of a cozy home, nice and warm, so I used the color from the photo and used them on a house from Coming Home stamp set from Stampin’ Up. The sketch is wonderful to create this card as I can use the house as my main focal point and the greeting underneath. I decided to put an embossed layer of Whisper White onto Soft Suede. I really enjoy the simplicity of this card and I hope you do too!
