8/31/2020 - Make My Moday #130 Criss Cross Card - Inspiring Iris

  Welcome back to another week here at Make My Monday – today we are sharing Criss Cross Card. I follow the instruction from Splitcoastampers and it was so fun and easy to make. I decided to use up some of my retired DSP from last year Occasion Catalog and make it into a encouragement card. I decided to not do a band around the card and just adhere a stamped image on oval shape dies in the middle with dimensional. I also used the Timeless Label Punch to create a tab for the insert’s handle. 8/29/2020 - Tuesday Morning Sketches - Season's Greeting

Today’s card is using Tuesday Morning Sketches. I decided to go wit the Coming Home Bundle to create this card. I die cut out the trees and the house and color them in with the Stampin’ Blends . The more I used the Blends, the more I am in love with them but I definitely need more practice. Then I adhere the Pool Party cardstock with the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. I added a sentiment and finish the card. I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today.

8/28/2020 - CAS(E) this Sketch & Fab Friday - Wishing You Well

 Happy Friday – it’s a gorgeous sunny and humid day here in the Chicagoland area and I found myself thinking about how fall is just around the corner. Today’s card is using Fab Friday (color) & CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge for a fall theme card. I don’t have Cajun Craze on hand but not a problem, it’s in the DSP! I die cut out the maple leaves in Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider and since it’s already have some kind of texture, I enhanced it a little more by using Dauber and put some ink on it, to make the texture more noticeable. I really like how this card turned out and always love the simplicity of a sketch. I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today!

8/26/2020 - Freshly Made Sketches & Hand Stamped Sentiment - May this season

Happy Hump Day – it’s been a bit crazy so finally have some times to make a quick card, using Freshly ade Sketch and Hand Stamp Sentiments Inspiration Challenge. The card is pretty clean and simple, just use the DSP and the images of pumpkins. They are color in with both Stampin’ Markers and Stampin’ Blends. Guess what, I don’t even have a Pumpkin Pie Markers or Blends?? Shocking, I know!! What am I going to do making fall cards?? Hope you enjoy this quick and easy card today.

8/25/2020 - Cardz 4 Guyz #252 Explore Outdoors

Weclome back to another week of challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are making Great Outdoor card. When I think of outdoor activities, golfing pop to mind. Golf is important part of my life – my god-mother/god-father owns a golf course in Taiwan, I used to work there for a year, all my relatives including my folks love playing golf and I used to play too……so this theme is special to me. I kept the card pretty simple and used the retired Clubhouse bundle for this. I added a Happy Father’s Day sentiment because 8/8 is Taiwanese Father’s day and this card will be heading to CA to my dad. As you can see, lots of die cutting and only one stamp. 8/21/2020 - Inspired By Challenge - Happy Birthday You Old Goat

 Happy Friday! Today’s card is using a new challenge I found called Inspired By and this week it’s a sketch challenge with a punny sentiment. When I saw that I knew I want to use the Way To Goat set because it has some really funny sentiment. I stamped the image in Stazon Black and color in with Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen and used the corner rounder to round out the corner. I put a layer underneath and then another DSP to finish of the card. This is definitely a quick and easy card for something who is REALLY funny!

8/19/2020 - The Card Concept - Thinking of You

Happy Hump Day – I needed a cheer me up card today so I went into my craft room and made a card using The Card Concept (Sunset at the Shore). I saw a card made by Stampin’ With Cindy and decided to CASE it. I used the biggest stamping block and inked it with Pool Party and Crumb Cake then spritz it with water to get the watercolor effects. Then I stamped the images with Stazon Black. To finish the card, I adhere it onto an Early Espresso cardstock. I hope you enjoyed this card I am sharing today.

8/18/2020 - Try Stampin' On Tuesday Or Not - Season of Thanks

Double Tuesday! I made another card today using Try Stampin’ Tuesday Challenge. I wanted to start using my Gather Together fall theme stamp set and this is a good sketch for it. I used the plaid DSP from Plaid Tiding 6x6 DSP and the image is stamped with Cinnamon Cider and Mango Melody. The sentiment is with Memento Black on Misty Moonlight. I finished the card off with some burlap twines. Hope you enjoy this quick card today!

8/18/2020 - Atlantic Hearts Sketch & Sunday Stamps - Coffee

Happy Tuesday! Today’s card is using 2 challenges – Sunday Stamps (colors) & Atlantic Hearts Sketch. Lately I am trying harder to do more color challenges and combine them with a sketch to be more creative and broaden my horizon a little more. When I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to use Press On because it’s perfect to colors in and cut out the images for focal point. The colors I used are mostly subtle scheme in my option, for the band of the coffee mug, I stamped the image onto the DSP, cut it out and adhere it onto my focal image. It may be hard to see but the Gray Granite piece is embossed and the heart in the middle coffee have Wink A Stella on it. This card will be perfect for a coffee drinker, even a tea drinker too! 8/17/2020 - Make My Monday #129 On The Beach - Awesome at Any Age

Welcome back to another week of Make My Monday - #129 on the beach! I still can’t believe that summer is almost to an end (or is it?!), and definitely need to go to the beach a little more! The stamp set I used from Stampin’ Up is totally suitable for this card! I die cut out the stitched circle first and use the images to create a beachy theme. It may be hard to see but the yellow sun is colored in with Wink A Stella. I stamped a birthday related sentiment as I will be sending this card to my cousin in Taiwan for his birthday!  Happy Tuesday – today’s card is using CAS(E)ing Tuesday on FB and it’s from page 72 of the current annual catalog. I decided to use up some of my current 2019-2021 In-Colors DSP for this challenge. I cut of stripes of DSP and the square is using the Stitched Shaped Dies. I also did a fun *tapping* technique on the floral part where I inked up Purple Posy first and then *tap* it with Rococo Rose. I hope you like this card I am sharing today.

Lately I am trying really hard to do color challenges and I think it’s so easy when pairing up with a good sketch. I used Pool Party on the branches and use dauber with Night of Navy for the flowers.  Happy Friday – Today’s card is using 2 challenges – Fab Friday (sketch) and TGIF Challenge (color). Lately I am trying to do more colors challenges and love combining them with a good sketch. This card is more or less inspired by Mindy B’s card. I just love her style and been following here even when I was in CA. I used the Seaside Notion images (sand dollars and shell) and then color in some part of with Magenta Madness. I don’t have the Wshiper White embossing powder so instead I used White Craft Ink. 8/6/2020 - Hand Stamped Sentiments & The Spot - Coffee

Today’s card is using 2 challenges – Hand Stamped Sentiment for colors & The Spot for coffee. I don’t normally do color challenges but this Press On stamp set makes it super easy because you can just use the colors on these coffee mugs! I also used 2 different dies to make them really pop. The coffee bean in the background is stamped in the same color as the cardstock! It might be a little hard to see but I did used a little Wink A Stella on some of the coffee mug. I enjoyed making this card and I hope you like my creation as well.

Happy Hump Day – Today’s card is submitted with Sunday Stamp Sketch Challenge. I love the layout and I think the card turned out really awesome. I used the Peony Garden DSP and used all the colors in the palette, well, except Soft Seafoam for the leaves. 8/5/2020 - The Paper Funday Challenge - Bugaboo Stamps: Anything Goes with Twist: Back to School

Welcome back to another month here at The Paper Funday Challenge. Today's card is using Bugaboo stamp - Puppy Love image. This doggy is just too cute and I really want to showcase him so I got multiple prints of him and cut one out to layer on top of my main image and I sponge around it to create the background color for him. Then I used the Stampin' Blends for his body and markers for the heart. I really like how it turned out and I made it into a LOVE card. Welcome back to another week of challenge at Make My Monday! Today’s challenge is Clean and Simple card and this is what I came up with. I used the brand new stamp set from the current Holiday Catalog called Press On – a fun coffee stamp set for this birthday card. I colored in all the coffee images with the current 2020-2022 In-Colors and the coffee bean is stamped with the same color of cardstock. This will be an awesome card for a coffee lover! 8/1/2020 - CAS Colours & Sketches & TGIF Challenge - Just Wanted to Say.....

The weather here in the Chicagoland area is cloudy so it feels really nice to be outside, not too hot, so we will be heading out for a bike ride later. Today’s card is using CAS Colours & Sketches and also an picture inspiration challenge at TGIF. I decided to go with the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set. I die cut and colors the 2 smaller sunflowers and the stripes I decided to all use the DSP. What I need to learn is to make sure how to die out the flowers more accurately.
