6/30/2021 - Hand Stamped Sentiments / The Paper Players - Your Friendship

Happy Wednesday! Today’s card is using 2 challenges – Hand Stamped Sentiments (Inspiration) & The Paper Players (Sketch). I especially Bree’scard so I used her card as my main inspiration to create this plants card. I choose the petal pink for the pots and paired it with the bright Granny Apple Green for the plants. To soften it up a little bit I used the Sahara Sand for one the pot. It may be hard to see but the Whisper White layering piece is dry embossed. I love the simplicity of the sketch and can't wait to create more cards with it. I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today and see below for some tips on making this card.

Tips

• For the detail pot, I put a piece of Sahara Sand underneath it and cut out the shape to create the layering pot
• For the frame, I cut out the whole frame using Stitched So Sweetly Dies and use a exacto knife to cut out inside piece and adhere a Whisper White underneath it.

6/29/2021 - CASEing the Catty / Just Add Ink - Hello

Happy Tuesday! Today’s card is using FB – CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge and Just Add Ink Color Challenges. I picked page 48 Ice Cream Corner bundle and the card that inspired me is on the bottom left. For me, color challenges are always the hardest but I am determined to try at least once a month! For the Gray Granite DSP I sponge the same color around the edges to give it more depth and I inked up one of the leaf image with Coastal Cabana and the use the *Tapping* technique with Blackberry Bliss Marker. I feel like something is missing so I added a twine ribbon. I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today and I think I might just use this card for my upcoming class!

6/29/2021 - Cardz 4 Guys #274 Travel - Happy Christmas

Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are making Travel Theme card. Travel for me is time for visiting families so I’ve created this Christmas theme card for travelling home. The coloring job is with Stampin’ Markers and I used the last year’s coordinating DSP from the holiday catalog. Although this stamp set has retired but it’s still one of my favorite. Happy Monday – Today’s card is using Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge. I am not surprise that I wanted to use Plentiful Plants bundle for this. For the smaller pots, I decided to use 2 different shades of greens  and also added a little cute flower to give it an accent. The bigger pot of plant is also stamped with 2 different shakes of greens. I hope you enjoy this quick card I am sharing today!

6/25/2021 - Atlantic Hearts Sketch #426 - For You

Happy Friday! Today’s card is using Sketch #426 at Atlantic Hearts, what a unique sketch and I wanted to see what I can do with it. Usually cris-cross is a type of fold but instead we are using it as a card layer. I cut the DSP down to 4 x 5 ¼” and then just cut across diagonally, I wanted the patter and design to be the same so I cut 2 pieces of it, then you will have 2 cards! The image is stamped with Terracotta Tile and layer on Mint Macaroon. I have a customer placing an order with me yesterday so this will be a perfect card for her. 6/24/2021 - Freshly Made Sketches - It's Your Day

Today’s card is using Freshly Made Sketches. I really enjoyed Narelle’s card and CASE it by using different designer series paper and made it into a masculine card. I like any type of cards that showing off stripes of paper, since you all know we love to hoard those. I stamped the bow and colored it with Stampin’ Blends and layer it on top of 2 circle punches. The sentiment is from a different set but they still paired up pretty well. I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today.

White – 3 ½” by 4 ¾” – although the strips can be wider or White can be cut down a bit more.

I was inspired by my crafty friend Jolanda’s card and wanted to make my own sunflowers birthday card. They are colored with Stampin’ Markers and I paired it up with a retired DSP. 6/22/2021 - Posted for You Card

Today’s card is using 4 challenges I found (listed below) and I had a great time coming up with the stamp set and paper to use. I found a designer series paper that has the flower pattern as well as the color in the challenge. I then stamped the flower image and color them in with Stampin’ Markers. I don’t have So Saffron so I used the closest color I have, which is Pale Papaya. This is an awesome birthday card that I know someone will enjoy receiving. 6/21/2021 - TGIF & Inspired By - Happy Birthday

Hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend. Todays’ card is using 2 challenges – TGIF Technique Challenge & Inspired By (photo inspiration). I used the colors from the watermelon to create this Peek A Boo Window birthday card. Stampin up have a new die that cut out circles and rectangle of the frames and I did that and stamped the Happy Birthday in 2 fun colors. I wasn’t sure what to do with the middle panel so I adhered a DSP underneath it. The whole panel is pop up with dimension. I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today!

Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Make My Monday and this week we are making Cats/Dogs card. I don’t have any stamp sets for these 2 animals but I realized that I do have a punch that can help me create lots of animals and found a tutorial for it so this is what I came up with. I have to actually draw in the doggie’s mouth and created this flappy ears. I think I can probably go without stamping the feet but I did anyway. 6/18/2021 - CASEing the Catty Sunday #322 - You're Growing Up

Today’s card is using CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge # 322 on FB. I was inspired by the Crew Card using Peekaboo Farm with the Picture This Dies. One thing that I would change the next time is use Stampin’ Blends instead of Stampin’ Markers, I used the wrong ink for coloring so it bleeds with each other for a little bit. Another way you can make this card is to pop up the panel piece, so maybe next time I will do that. All the animals feet is cut out and adhere on with the glues. Happy Tuesday! Today’s card is using CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge. I am not really good at color challenges but I am def trying lately. I colored in the snails with Stampin’ Markers and added a little gray with Watercolor Pencil and Blender Pens for the body. I kept it Clean and Simple and just a quick and small sentiment of Hello. Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are making Dogs/Puppies card. Sadly I don’t have any dogs images (I know, shocking!) so I decided to use a cute horsey image for this challenge! This is one of the new stamp set that I purchased from the new annual 2021-2022 catty and I love this stamp set – so many cute animals and you can also paired it with a peekaboo dies. Happy Monday! We had a wonderful weekend and today is H’s first summer camp with Park District. Today’s card is using TGIF Challenge. I love all the cards DT made and I pulled 1 element from each card and create this. The coloring is done with Stampin’ Blends and I just adore this stamp set and can’t wait to use it more often. 6/11/2021 - Atlantic Hearts Challenge / Global Design Project - Hello There

Happy Friday, it’s been a great week and I’ve been enjoying my time with Hunter before heading to summer camp next week. Today’s card is using Global Design Project (theme – growing garden) & Atlantic Hearts Sketch. Lately I’ve been obsessing with the Plentiful Plants bundle and wanted to combine these 2 challenges. The plants are both stamped as well as just using the dies to cut out the leaves. The pot is 2 different dies and I just love how simple it is to be die cutting out the pieces and put the pots together. Today’s card is using CASE-ing Tuesday on FB and The Paper Players Them Challenge. We def feel the summer is here as lately the weather’s been about 80-90 degrees here in the Chicagoland area. When it’s hot, the first thing that pop into my mind is ice cream / popsicles. I layer them like a triangle for some interests and pop 2 of them on dimension. 6/7/2021 - Make My Monday #150 Outdoor Fun - Happy Father's Day

Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Make My Monday and this week we are making Outdoor Fun cards. This is a perfect reason for me to make a Golf card for my husband for Father’s Day. On that day, we will be heading to Father’s Day Brunch hosted by the park district to hit a  bucket of golf ball and brunch! The sentiment is stamped on Crushed Curry and all the decoration pieces are cut out with Golf Club Dies from Stamping’ Up. It may be a little hard to see but the Night of Navy piece is cut out with the Stitched Circle Dies. I think the golf clubs also added a fun element to the card. Today’s card is using Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge and I tweaked it a little bit by watching Dee Slater’s video. It’s a really unique fold to make and you can find the measurement below. I use the retired DSP for this card and a fun sentiment from Forever Fern. I hope you enjoy this fun card I am sharing today.

Happy Friday’s ! Todays’ card is using 3 challenges which I will list below. I used the stencil that I purchased from SU long time ago with Cajun Craze for the background and stamped the leaf images this time on Mint Macaron for a different look. I also used the alphabet dies for the die cut sentiment, which I haven’t used in a while. The picture inspiration def. gives me the idea to use this stamp set, which is one of my FAVORITE from the current SU catalog! I hope you enjoy this card today!!

Hi – Today’s card is using Global Design Project Sketch Challenge. I made it into a more masculine type of Thinking Of You card. I used the DSP to cut out the trees as well as the strips indicated on the sketch. It may be hard to see but I use the Subtle Embossing Folder on Whisper White, this is my go-to embossing folder when I need the layering piece to pop a little. Hope you like this card!

6/2/2021 - The Spot Challenge #164 - It's Your Day

Happy Hump Day! Today’s masculine card is using The Spot #16 – Let’s hear it for the boys! Father’s day is coming in a few weeks so we are in needs of more masculine card and this is what I came up with. The jacket is using one of the Well Suited DSP (retiring soon) with the Well Suited Bundle. I am so happy that the stamp set and the dies are carrying over, I will continue to use it for sure. The card itself takes a while to put together because you have to cut out all the pieces but I think the result is just awesome! I hope you enjoy the card I am sharing today!

Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are making Father’s Day Card! I saw an awesome video by FrenchieStamps and decided to give it a try. This is such an awesome Suspender Shirt and it’s used mostly Suite and Tie Dies. If you have a budget issue, getting the die is definitely a way to go. It does take a little time to make but I think the result speaks for itself. I hope you like this card I am sharing today and be sure to join us at the challenge!
