7/30/2020 - Hand Stamped Sentiments - Thank You

Today’s card is using Hand Stamped Sentiment sketch challenge. After I saw all the wonderful creation by the DT teams and participants, I came up with this card. For the horizontal separation, I decided to use the ribbon for it. The circle image I ended up using the floral image from Flowering Blooms and color it in with Watercolor Pencils with Aqua Painter. I really like how the coloring turns out for in depth of the shades. I know we have Stampin’ Blends for colorings but I always have a soft spot for the Watercolor Pencils. Hope you like this card I am sharing today!

7/28/2020 - Try Stampin' On Tuesday - Coming Home

Happy Hump Day – Today’s card is using Try Stampin’ Tuesday sketch challenge with a optional of create a scene. I decided to use the Coming Home bundle for this home sweet home card that didn’t have a sentiment so could be use as a Christmas/Holiday card as well. I layer a small house on top of the big house and color in with Stampin’ Blends and SU markers. I found some of my Champagne Foil sheet and used it along with a Peony Garden DSP. I really like how this card turned out and can’t wait to find a recipient for it.

7/26/2020 - TGIF Challenges - A Cup of Thanks

Hi everyone – today is HOT here in the Chicagoland area, about 90 degrees and humidity, yikes! Today’s card is using TGIF Challenge – use your scraps. I used the ideas I got from Lisa’s Stamp Studio for this challenge. The coffee mug is from the new Holiday Catalog – Press On and I cut it out and used the piecing technique on the coffee mug by using the DSP. I decided to leave the sentiment from the outside and stamped it inside the card. This card is pretty easy to create and defintly a great way to use up your scraps. I hope you enjoy the card I am sharing today!!

7/23/2020 - The Card Concept & Freshly Made Sketch - Very Merry

Happy Thursday – today’s challenge is using The Card Concept and Freshly Made Sketch. When I saw the inspiration photo, it reminds me of a cozy home, nice and warm, so I used the color from the photo and used them on a house from Coming Home stamp set from Stampin’ Up. The sketch is wonderful to create this card as I can use the house as my main focal point and the greeting underneath. I decided to put an embossed layer of Whisper White onto Soft Suede. I really enjoy the simplicity of this card and I hope you do too!

Hi everyone – Today’s card is using Atlantic Hearts Challenge! When I saw the sketch, I knew I want to use up some of the In-Colors paper. Each stripes is cut at 0.5 and it will have to be longer than your layering Whisper White so you can cut down the extras. I stamped the LOVE image and punch it out with the coordinating punch and both layers are on Basic Black. The LOVE image is color in with the SU Markers. Happy Monday – I made another this past weekend but forgot to blog about it. This one is using 2 challenges – The Paper Player (Clean & Simple Celebrate) and TGIF (Silhouette) to create this elegant birthday card. I used the Layering Circle Dies to cut out the outline of a circle from scratch paper, and then used sponge in the Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody for the background. Then the stamp image is Memento Black and Merry Merlot. I hope you like this quick and simple card I created today. Have a wonderful week.

7/20/2020 - Make My Monday #127 Baby Wipe Technique - Thanks

Welcome back to another week at Make My Monday – today’s challenge is Baby Wipe Technique, picked by ME!!! I always enjoy a fun and easy technique and this one is really easy to do. Click HERE for a youtube tutorial that I found through Splitcoastamper. What you do is take a baby wipe, and drop some re-inkers on it and take the image you want and ink it from the wipe and stamp! You should definitely pick colors that works well together or even create another color. For the card, I stamped the outside image with Memento Black first and then the floral image is with Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral (and when I mixed it, it gives out some orange color). The stem is with Shaded Spruce and Old Olive. I really enjoyed making this card and I hope you do too. Remember to join us at the challenge and submit your creation there!

7/14/2020 - Cardz 4 Guyz - No Pattern Paper

Welcome back to another week here at Cardz 4 Guyz – where we share special creation just for the boys/men. Today’s challenge is No Pattern Paper on your card and this is what I came up with! I must say the challenge is a little hard as I am such a hoarder for designer series paper and I always want to use them up. I decided to use Pool Party as a background instead of DSP and the image is from the new stamp set called Way To Goat. This is not really my style of stamp set but I got it because I want I want to replace This Little Piggy. The image of the goat is colored in with Stampin’ Blends and I think the punt intended sentiment is kind of fun! I hope you enjoy this card today and be sure to join us at the challenge!

7/11/2020 - Happy Card

Today's card is using the new Alphabet Dies from Stampin’ Up. I’ve been wanting to get a die set like this and finally one that is affordable in price. I put the dies on top of a piece of DSP and cut out the word Happy, (which I will stamp / write any sentiment inside as well). Then I also used the foam sheet to cut out the letters so I can raise them up for more of a dimension. Both pieces are layer on top of Basic Black cardstock. I hope you enjoy this quick and easy card today!

I also used the coordinating DSP for this card so they all kind of goes together. I used the SU markers to color in the sunflower but decided to go with Magenta Madness instead of the traditional yellow. I also used the Stitched Shaped Dies for the card. 7/8/2020 - CASEing the Catty Sunday - Happy Birthday

Today’s card is using CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge – on page 130 of the current annual catalog. It’s hard to see but the border of the DSP is actually raised up by dimensional and I used Foam Adhesive instead since the border is too thin (next time if I make this card I again, I would remember to leave a larger border). I colored in the floral image using the colors on DSP and cut out the outline of the sentiment and adhere onto the circle piece. I really like how this card turned out and really enjoy making this.

It’s been awhile since I did a color challenge so today’s card is using TGIF Challenges for it. I stamped the background with Granny Apple Green and the Inspiring Iris is using all the colors and I paired it up with the retired DSP. This card came together pretty quickly so it’s a good one to make multiples. I hope you enjoy the card today.

Welcome back to another week of Make My Monday! Today’s challenge is using Stars and/or Stripes and I decide to go with the stripes on the designer series paper! I wanted to make a card for my husband for Father’s Day (I know, 2 weeks ago) and this is what I came up with. The image is stamped with Stazon and color in with Stampin’ Up Watercolor Pencils along with Blender Pen to smooth out the line. The sentiment is heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder on the vellum. We also wrote a really nice message to him, of course! I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today and be sure to check out everyone’s creation and join in on the challenge.

7/4/2020 - CASEing Tuesday - Let's Celebrate You

Happy Fourth of July! Today's card is using FB page - CASE-ing Tuesday, for the sample on page 82 of the current annual catalog! I decided to make it into a birthday card using Birthday Banaza that I borrowed from my crafty friend, Tobe. I really enjoyed this stamp set but it sure takes a lot of stamping to create a scene. The gift boxes are using different colors and the twocan is the easiest animal to stamp on because there is no mult-colors to use. I pop up the bird on dimensional to give it more of the layering. Hope you enjoy this card and have a great 4th of July!!

7/3/2020 - CAS Colours & Sketches & Festive Friday - Happy Birthday

Hi everyone – today’s challenge is with CAS Colours & Sketches and also Festive Friday! I rarely do color challenges because I am just not good at creating a card with my stamp sets using a particular set of colors but after seeing some awesome samples from the DT – I wanted to give it a try. The card I came up with use some of the new Stampin’ Up products. The flower is color in with Balmy Blue Watercolor Pencils and the pink is with Flirty Flamingo.  I used the Blender Pens to smooth out the lines. For Festive Friday - the elements I used is Floral Theme, Birthday Theme, Stitching (faux), Single Image & Clean & Simple. I really like how this card turned out, soft and elegant and I think I have the perfect recipient for this card. Thank you for dropping by today.

7/2/2020 - The Spot - Thanks

Hi everyone – welcome to my blog! Today’s card is using The Spot (Sketch Challenge) – a challenge I participated for the first time! I really enjoyed DT – Jennifer’s card using the Stitched Rectangle Dies so I wanted to try that as well. I cut the DSP to 5.5” x 4 ¼” and then diagonally and then adhere it onto a Whisper White cardstock so I can run it through the Big Shot. Since the pattern of the DSP is already kind of busy with floral images, I just kept the card simple just stamping sentiment in for the middle. I really like the Ornate Thanks because you can mix and match lots of sentiment to your liking! I hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today!

7/1/2020 - The Paper Fun Day Challenge - The Great Out Door

Welcome back to another month here at The Paper Funday Challenge – today’s card is using the twist theme – Great Out Door. Whenever I think of outdoor activities, Golf came to mine. I used to work at a golf course in Taiwan and most of my families and relatives play golf so this is a very special *sport* in my heart. I used the Country Club DSP and one of the image is golf scene and all you have to do is color in the image with whatever coloring medium you like, in this case, I used Watercolor Pencils and smooth out the line with Blender Pen. The background is showcasing all the DSP. Hope you enjoy this card today and be sure to participate in our challenge for July!
