Today’s card is using Hand Stamped Sentiment Sketch and The Card Concept Inspiration. I used the color combination and the picture as my starting point to create the image. For some reason my Crushed Curry ink pad is giving me issues, errrr. But other than that, I kept the card pretty simple. You can see my color combinations listed below. Thank you for stopping by!

5/18/2022 - Make the Card Challenge #55 Technique Challenge - It's Your Day!

Welcome back to another challenge here at Make the Cards Challenge and this week we are using Pattern Paper – DSP (designer series paper in Stampin’ Up terms). I know I sound like a broken record but I love SU’s DSP because they coordinate so well with the ink pads and I can just look at the paper to see what other colors I can used to match. In this case, I used the Heart Dollie and the Real Red as my card base. I added a ribbon and stamped It’s Your Day as a sentiment. Thank you for stopping today and be sure to check out everyone’s creation.

5/17/2022 - Cardz 4 Guyz #296 Wildlife - Happy Birthday with Penguin playmate DSP

Welcome back to another challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are making card with Wildlife animals. Sadly I don’t have any animals stamp set so I have to be creative with this challenge and I remember I have some DSP which has a Polar Bear image which is perfect for this challenge. I cut out the polar image from the DSP and adhere onto another piece of DSP and layer on top of the scalloped circle. As you can see, all the pattern paper are coordinated. This will be a perfect birthday card for a young boy. I hope you enjoyed this card I am sharing today and be sure to join us at the challenge.

Happy Monday! My orders from the new 2022-2023 annual catalog came Friday and I had some time to play with it for a little bit. I saw a similar card in the catalog and decided to CASE it for using this bundle. I rolled the Kraft paper into a message and put them in the bottle. I love the sentiment, it just goes so perfectly with the card! Hope you enjoy this card!

Happy Hump Day! It’s a warm day here in the Chicagoland area. Today’s card is using Global Design Project Sketch and Retro Rubber Challenge Flower Power. Instead of the stamp image, I used the dies from last year’s Sale-A-Bration and the awesome greeting is from Daisy Lane, which already retired since it’s been around for 2 years already. The DSP is Peony Garden also retired a few years ago so you can say that this is a RETIRED card, haha. I hope you enjoyed this card I am sharing today and enjoy the nice summer weather!

Today’s card is using a very simple and elegant sketch from Freshly Made Sketch. I am trying to use more of my soon to be retired items from the 2022 Mini Catalog. I kept the card simple and just with the pot and the flowers with a packet seeds. I also did some background sponging with a mask and finished the card with a sentiment and some sequins. I hope you enjoyed this card I am sharing today!

Welcome back to another challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are doing D is for……. Dad! I know Father’s Day is not until June but we can always use some inspiration for the card or just some masculine card. I used the retired A Few Good Men and colored in the image with Stampin’ Markers. The sentiment is actually stamped in a punch paper but I made it into a tag but poking a hole on the top with twine! Both pieces are on dimensional and layered on top of a Designer Series Paper. I hope you enjoyed the card I am sharing today and be sure to check out everyone’s creation and join us there!

4/28/2022 - Double D - Coming Home / Building

Happy Thursday! Today’s card is using Double D for Building card. I’ve always loved this stamp set called Coming Home and decided to make it into a Christmas card without the sentiment. The house is colored in with Stampin’ Blends and the DSP is the coordinating paper at the time of the bundle. Each strip is cut down to 1” x 5 ¼” This is a great way to use up your scraps of DSP.

I also used another stamp set – Shaded Summer, which will be carrying over to the new SU annual catalog! The color markers I used are soon to be retired 2020-2022 In-Colors. Hope you enjoy this card I am sharing today!

4/19/2022 - CAS/TGIF/Global Design - Hello (Flowering Rainboots)

Happy Tuesday! I finally made a card using challenges! It’s only been a few days but I feel like my mojo is missing somewhere. I used a mask to create a light blue background. For the sketch, instead of using ribbons or DSP, I used a paper lattice as a holder for the pot and stamped Hello as a greeting. I kept the card pretty simple to fit the challenges and for the theme of flower. Thank you for stopping by.

I used the retired tag punch with the Designer Series Paper and lots of it! The tie is also cut out with the DSP  and finished the card with a sentiment. 4/11/2022 - Make My Monday #172 Use Washi Tape - Thanks for Being You

Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Make My Monday and this week we are making Washi Tape card. Sadly to say, as a crafter, I don’t have any washi tape on hand so I got creative with this challenge, I used my Washi Tape Punch (retired from Stampin’ Up) to fulfill this challenge! I used the punch to punch out different design of paper and as you can see, the edge of the paper has that tape tear so it LOOKs like a washi tape and I lined them all up onto a layer of Whisper White and then on a Real Red stitched rectangle. The designer paper from the SU mini catalog will be retiring at the end of May so make sure you grab them before it’s too late! Thank you for visiting and be sure to check out everyone’s creation.

4/5/2022 - Cardz 4 Guyz #293 Add Texture - Thank You

Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are adding texture to our card. The quickest way to add any texture on the cards for me is to use embossing folder (or dry embossing). I used the Subtle Embossing Folder on Whisper White cardstock to add texture. In addition, the tree silhouette image is also embossed with texture. One of the unique thing I did is I sponge the Mango Melody circle with Pumpkin Pie to create a shadow of the sun. I hope you enjoyed the card I am sharing today and be sure to join us at the challenge.

3/28/22 - Make My Monday #171 Use a Stencil - Thank You

Welcome back to another week of challenge here at Make My Monday and this week we are making card using Stencil! I love the subtle affects that it help brings another dimension of the card. For this one, I used a background stencil with Crumb Cake to create a background on the bottom right corner and paired it with the silhouette of the Harvest Dies. To finish the card I used the linen thread to tie the die cut images together and finish it with a Thank You sentiment. I hope you enjoyed the card I am sharing today and make sure to join us at the challenge!

3/23/2022 - Try Stampin' On Tuesday/SUOC - Flowering Rainboots

Happy Hump Day! Today’s card is using sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday and SU only Garden/Plants. One of my favorite from the current Mini Catalog is Flowering Rainboots so it’s my go to for the theme challenge. The circle is punch out but also embossed with the folder (bricks) that kind of coordinate with the DSP. To add some interest, the square is die cut out with the Layering Stitched Dies. Hope you enjoyed this card I am sharing today!
