11/4/19 - Sketch Saturday & The Paper Players - Let It Snow

We had a great time celebrating my mom's bday yesterday. Today's card is using Sketch Saturday and The Paper Players (Theme - into the wood). I decided to use the new stamp set I just rec'd the other day - Snowman Season. I've been eyeing this bundle for awhile and finally took the plunge when SU was having the 24 hours stamp set sales. The card is made true to the sketch but instead, I switched the orientation to a vertical card so the snowman image will fit. I used the markers to color in the snowman and I really like how this turned out. I hope you have a great week too.

10/31/19 - SIP & TSOT - A Joyful Christmas To You

Happy Halloween! My Dad left Chicago today to go back to California. At least his flight didn't get delayed much for cancel so he can head back home safely. Today's card is using 2 challenges - Try Stampin' on Tuesday & Stamp, Ink, Paper. I combined the two together to create this fun card for Christmas. I used Basic Gray and the mask I got from SU for the background and used the sketch challenge for the rest of the card. I accidentally stamp the sentiment at the wrong spot, oops! But I think the card still turned out pretty good. I hope you enjoy this card today and have a wonderful Halloween.

10/29/19 - Retro Rubber Challenge - A Little Note

Today's card is using Retro Rubber Challenge - where it's a sketch and you have to used a stamp set that's more than a year old, gotta give those older stamp set some love, you know? The one I used is Butterfly Gala and I think it was from the last spring catalog (back in Jan. 2018) I haven't used it for awhile so I pulled it out and used it with the current 2019-2021 in-colors! I just love the subtle of these combination and the paper is so gorgeous as well. I used the markers to color in the butterfly and paired it up with some Gray Granite (stamp off the ink first). I hope you like the card I am sharing today and remember to give your *older* stamp set some LOVE!

10/27/19 - Sunday Stamps & TGIF Challenges - Just Floating By to Say Hi

Happy Sunday! We just came back from a fun morning and now H is napping and I have some free time to create. Today's card is using Sunday Stamps & TGIF Challenges, one is sketch and one is using tag to create a project! I decided to combine this two and create a fun card by using the Tag as a main focus and stick with the layout. I used the current catalog stamp set - We'll Walrus be Friend and paired it up with the retired DSP - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I used the Watercolor pencils with Aqua Painter to color in the walrus. In addition, I stamped 2 of the fishes on the basic Gray card stock for a tone on tone effects. 10/24/19 - Paper Craft Crew Challenge - Happy Day

Today's card is using Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! I love this sketch and had so much fun creating and putting this card together! I decided to use With All My Love DSP for it (I love this paper!) and paired it up with Love What You Do stamp set! I used the colors combo in the DSP so the flower are Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick. The crumb cake card stock for layering is embossed and the floral piece is cut out with the Nested Stitched Framelits. I hope you like this awesome card today and check out the challenge website.

10/23/19 - Freshly Made Sketch - Sweet Friendship

Happy Hump Day - today's card is using Freshly Made Sketch. I wished I can say that I put more thoughts into this card but truly this card was finished in less than 3 min - including picking the color of the card base and what to do with  the sketch. I decided to use the flowers that I pre-cut when I got the DSP (Bird Ballard) and just layer it on top of another DSP from the same pack. I wanted to use the long sentiment so this is from Butterfly Wishes. I think I just have the right person to send this to. Hope you enjoy the quick card today!
